Who We Serve: individuals and their families
MHR clients deal with illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder,
severe depression, schizoaffective disorder and borderline personality disorder.
Many clients also deal with co-occurring substance use disorders and have suffered
from multiple traumas. Although there are many medications that help treat symptoms,
MHR clients have been robbed, by these disorders, of daily living skills,
coping strategies and techniques for dealing with the added injustices of societal
stigma and misunderstanding. MHR staff work with individuals, families and groups to
rebuild the strengths and competencies of each client.
