Seward Community Support Program (CSP) and Drop-In Center
MHR's Seward CSP and Drop-In Center provides services to approximately 350 individuals. These services can be provided at our Seward Drop-In Center or in the member's home. Some of the services provided include:
- Conducting home visits and health and wellness checks
- Finding, securing and supporting members in safe, decent and affordable housing
- Attaining and maintaining health insurance benefits
- Assisting with job applications, findind and maintaining employment and securing a stable financial situation.
- Providing training/education about mental illness, treatment, recovery and independent living skills.
The Seward Drop-In Center provides a wide array of psychosocial groups which help foster social support, prevent isolation and promote recovery for members. The various groups include: Illness Management and Recovery, Health Perspectives, GLBT Group, Mental Health Peer Support Groups, Women’s Group, Men’s Group and Journal Group.
A variety of activities also take place in the commmunity including trips to area food shelves, museums, the State Fair, and sporting activities. These events give individuals the opportunity to enjoy public outings and build their confidence when interacting with others in the community.
